When fishing cover such as: rocks, timber or bulrushes, be sure to check your line frequently for any nicks that may have been caused by the cover. If you do discover a small nick in your fishing line, be sure the cut at least a foot above that nick to ensure you are not using any damaged line. One small nick could cost you the biggest fish of the day.
